International recognition
- More than 250 eMINTS classrooms are present in 80 districts in nine states (Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Nevada, New Jersey and Utah) and in four regions in New South Wales, Australia.
- The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) recognized Dr. Monica Beglau, Executive Director of the eMINTS National Center, with its 2011 Outstanding Leader award.This award recognizes and honors individuals who have demonstrably improved education through the use of technology.
- Awarded $12 million federal Investing in Innovation (i3) grant (December 2010). eMINTS and its grant partners were one of 49 awardees selected from nearly 1,700 applicants for ARRA funding for research-based, innovative programs that improve outcomes for high-need students.
- Named an Intel Teach® Affiliate in fall 2009. Master Trainer sessions across Missouri and Utah prepared 95 Master Trainers to deliver the program in their own districts.
- eMINTS National Center joined Partnership for 21st Century Skills PD Affiliate program in 2009.
- In 2008 eMINTS’ Comprehensive PD curriculum earned the ISTE Seal of Alignment for Development, earning praise from the ISTE review team as “excellent quality and contains rich examples of how to meet the refreshed NETS for Teachers.”
- Three Missouri universities are incorporating eMINTS into their pre-service teacher education programs – Lincoln University, Missouri State University and William Woods University.
- eMINTS named in new federal educational technology legislation, ATTAIN, in May 2007.
- eMINTS Comprehensive Professional Development awarded International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Seal of Alignment in 2005.
- U.S. Department of Education recognized the eMINTS National Center and Peabody Elementary, a St. Louis, MO, eMINTS school, in its 2004 National Educational Technology Plan, “Toward a New Golden Age in Education.”
- The eMINTS National Center was recognized in the 2004 National Ed Tech Plan’s success stories in the categories of Leadership and Teacher Training.
