Teacher portfolios for 2009-2010 school year

All eMINTS and eMINTS4All teachers in Missouri and Alabama should complete teacher portfolios during year 2 of their Comprehensive eMINTS or eMINTS4All program.

All teachers receiving eMINTS professional development (comprehensive eMINTS or eMINTS/METS) and eMINTS4All PD who intend to submit portfolios are asked to submit them to the eMINTS National Center office through an online Moodle course (username & password required).

  1. Teachers whose classrooms are funded under the Title II.D competitive grant awards or eMINTS/METS grants are required to complete and submit a portfolio. Teachers who are required to submit will be enrolled automatically in the online portfolio submission Moodle course. Grant-funded teachers also have local evaluation requirements to complete.
  2. Teachers whose classrooms are not grant-funded are requested to complete and submit a portfolio. Teachers who would like to submit should register for enrollment in the appropriate online submission Moodle course during the fall cycle.
    Registration closes January 29, 2010.
  3. Veteran eMINTS or eMINTS4All teachers may submit portfolios for review by registering and paying the $50/portfolio review fee.
    Registration closes January 29, 2010.

    • Individuals who completed Comprehensive eMINTS or eMINTS4All in the past but who are no longer assigned to a classroom are eligible to submit a portfolio for review. The student artifact requirement will be waived for such situations.

Registration - reopened through January 29, 2010

January 6, 2010 - Missouri and out-of-state teachers who are not required to submit portfolios, but who would like to do so for an opportunity to secure DESE recognition (in Missouri) and access to resources provided by the eMINTS National Center to veteran eMINTS teachers, should register for enrollment in the appropriate online portfolio submission Moodle course no later than January 29, 2010.

  • Teachers currently in year 2 of eMINTS Comprehensive or eMINTS4All professional development who are receiving their professional development from a district-level trainer.
  • Veteran eMINTS or eMINTS4All teachers who completed their professional development programs prior to spring 2008 with an eMINTS staff member OR a participant or certified graduate of the eMINTS PD4ETS program. The PD4ETS participant or graduate must have met all program requirements in effect at the time. Veteran eMINTS and eMINTS4All teachers pay a $50 portfolio review fee.

Completed registration forms will be reviewed for acceptance into the online Moodle course where portfolios will be submitted. Only individuals who have met (or expect to meet) program attendance requirements and received professional development from an eMINTS staff member, participant of PD4ETS or certified graduate of PD4ETS in good standing will be admitted to the online course. All submission guidelines and item rubrics will be available in the online course. Acceptance into the online Moodle course does not constitute a commitment to submit a portfolio; however, enrollment is valid only for one portfolio submission cycle.
