Teacher portfolios for 2008-2009 school year
All eMINTS and eMINTS4All teachers in Missouri and Alabama should complete teacher portfolios during year 2 of their Comprehensive eMINTS or eMINTS4All program.
All teachers receiving eMINTS professional development (comprehensive eMINTS or eMINTS/METS) and eMINTS4All PD who intend to submit portfolios are asked to submit them to the eMINTS National Center office through an online Moodle course (username & password required).
- Teachers whose classrooms are funded under the Title II.D competitive grant awards or eMINTS/METS grants are required to complete and submit a portfolio. Teachers who are required to submit will be enrolled automatically in the online portfolio submission Moodle course. Grant-funded teachers also have local evaluation requirements to complete.
- Teachers whose classrooms are not grant-funded are requested to complete and submit a portfolio.Teachers who would like to submit should register for enrollment in the appropriate online submission Moodle course during the fall cycle. Registration closed for fall 2008 on October 22, 2008.
- Individuals who completed Comprehensive eMINTS or eMINTS4All in the past but who are no longer assigned to a classroom are eligible to submit a portfolio for review. The student artifact requirement will be waived for such situations.
FY06 teachers (those who submitted portfolios by postal mail on a CD in spring 2007)
Update October 15, 2008 -
We are in the process of obtaining the list of teachers who completed certification during the first round of portfolio scoring from the Education Development Center. We will notify individuals whose portfolios were incomplete (mostly due to inaccessible classroom websites and WebQuests or corrupt lesson plan files).
FY06 teachers with incomplete portfolios will be allowed to resubmit those elements this year for scoring. All others will be listed as being "eMINTS certified" on the DESE Instructional Technology website in the near future along with teachers who submitted successful portfolios this past spring (2008). It will not be necessary for teachers who are in this group to resubmit through the veteran teachers' Moodle submission process.

- FY06 cohort teachers - teachers who began eMINTS PD in the 2005-2006 school year (completed eMINTS PD in spring 2007) - Clarifications posted above, October 15, 2008
