District implementations based on the full eMINTS professional development model can be adapted to meet district/organization needs and delivered by district trainers who have completed the eMINTS PD4ETS (train-the-trainer program). In these customized plans, a district can choose a flexible or extended time table for delivery of professional development experiences. Likewise, the local organization can determine equipment and technical requirements that deviate from those in full eMINTS implementations.

District-customized PD provides the convenience of a local, on-site trainer; however, only limited research exists to support the effectiveness of this model. Nor does it lead to recognition of its participants as ‘certified eMINTS teachers.’
