e-Learning for Educators MO seeking summer course developers
The e-Learning program is seeking Missouri teachers who are interested in participating on a team to develop online professional development courses. We are recruiting individuals with experience and expertise in implementing various classroom management systems and strategies to develop six-week online courses.
The first course is Classroom Management.
The second course is very content specific. E-Learning for Educators is looking for 3 Science teachers from the St. Louis area interested in helping with the development of an online professional development course. The course is designed to build on the program aired recently by KETC-Channel 9/St. Louis called Liquid Assets. The goal is to design a course for middle and high school educators focused on the issues facing Missouri's (and the nation's) water infrastructure and to develop project-based learning lessons that cover Missouri's science standards. Developers will have access to KETC/Channel 9 resources (they will support the development of video resources for the course), St. Louis experts in water quality and waste management, and web/course designers from e-Learning for educators.
Course developers for both courses will earn a $1,500 stipend and will go through a 10-week online course on course development that will take them step-by-step through the development process. Course development begins June 10, 2009. Developers will need to have Internet access all 10 weeks during the online course and course development.
Individuals who wish to be considered as course developers should apply as soon as possible ....
Selection of team members will take place as applications are received, so if you are interested, do not delay.
