Teaching elementary science
Several states with eMINTS implementations already test science annually as part of the NCLB state-wide testing program. Missouri is poised to begin testing science in grades 3-8 annually as well. Prepare yourself and your students for the science assessments ahead with great e-Learning for Educators online professional development courses.

Does your school qualify for Intel Schools of Distinction?
The annual Intel Schools of Distinction Awards recognize U.S. schools that demonstrate 21st century teaching and learning environments and implement innovative, replicable programs that inspire their students to excel in the areas of math and science.
Who Wins?
Two categories: Math and Science 18 Finalists: 3 each in grade group: K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, 6 Winners, 1 Star Innovator for 2009 (one school selected from the 6 winners). Awards: Winners will receive $10,000 each from the Intel Foundation and more than $100,000 in products and services from the program award sponsors, as well as a trip to Washington, DC, where their success will be celebrated with government, education and business leaders. One of the final six winners will be identified as the Star Innovator for 2009. This school will receive a total cash award of $25,000 from the Intel Foundation as well as additional services and products from the award sponsors.
