Portfolio

eMINTS and eMINTS4All teachers in their second year of eMINTS professional development create an electronic portfolio as a part of a performance-based evaluation of the eMINTS program. Satisfactory completion of the eMINTS portfolio indicates teachers have demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities to implement the eMINTS instructional model.

  1. Teachers whose classrooms are funded under the Title II.D competitive grant awards or Investing in Innovation (i3) grants are required to complete and submit a portfolio in year 2 of their program. Teachers whose classrooms were grant-funded in their first year of training are required to complete and submit a portfolio in year 2 of their program. Teachers who are required to submit will be enrolled automatically in the online portfolio submission Moodle course.
  2. Teachers whose classrooms are not grant-funded are requested to complete and submit a portfolio. Teachers who are currently in year 2 of the eMINTS program and are not required to submit will be automatically enrolled in the portfolio Moodle course.
  3. Veteran eMINTS or eMINTS4All teachers may submit portfolios for review by registering and paying a $50/portfolio review fee.
    Registration closes January 31, 2015.
  4. Individuals who completed Comprehensive eMINTS or eMINTS4All in the past but who are no longer assigned to a classroom are eligible to submit a portfolio for review. The student artifact requirement will be waived for such situations.

Recognition

Missouri participants who submit a satisfactory teacher portfolio will be recognized by DESE with listing on the DESE website (updated annually in December).

Participants in other states should contact their state department of education about specific eMINTS certifications or endorsements.

It is our hope that eMINTS and eMINTS4All teachers in every state will someday participate in the full portfolio submission and review process.
