Learn how the theatre has changed since Shakespeare's time. Includes various biographies of Shakespeare and other actors, as well as information on the theatres of certain areas.

Romeo and Juliet
This fun site includes a synopsis of the play, themes, lesson plans, and more. Students can also read about Shakespeare's England and how the play "Romeo and Juliet" is connected to the fine arts (performing, visual, and literary).

Romeo and Juliet Teaching Guide
Designed for 9th grade students, this site has three lesson plans for teaching "Romeo and Juliet." Includes various links to outside sources (such as a Dictionary of Literary Terms) and QuickTime videos of certain characters (click on "Activity Two").

In this ThinkQuest site, click on "Tragedies" for information about "Romeo and Juliet."

Shakespeare Unlimited
This is a great graphic site for learning the basics of Shakespeare's plays. Includes a character analysis of "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Tempest," plus a plot summary of "Romeo and Juliet." Students can also design the mask that Romeo wears to the party.
