This is a basic tutorial for Excel. It explains what a spreadsheet is, the types of data that can be entered, and the formulas you can use.
Spreadsheet: A Variety of Activities
There are several online activities to help you learn how to use Excel with your students. "Simple Graphing" will show you how to make a simple graph with Excel. Also includes instructions for timelines and a probability experiment.
A Class Spreadsheet
Students can solve a story problem using a spreadsheet. This lesson plan is targeted for Grade 2.
ThinkQuest: School Spreadsheet Safari
Learn all about spreadsheets, including their history and vocabulary. Click on "Class Activities" and then choose a subject area. The data in these spreadsheets can be manipulated so you can see how the graphs change. Try the crossword puzzle and the quiz.

On-Line Technology Practice Modules
