Description: These sites focus on pollination, germination, and photosynthesis in plants. There are hands-on experiments that demonstrate the characteristics of plants as well as online activities. eThemes Resources on plant species, carnivorous plants, trees, and autumn are included.

This is a useful site when studying plants. Click on "Enter" and choose a case to solve. Each case covers a different plant topic. NOTE: The site has a link to a guestbook.

Students can learn why leaves change color in the fall. NOTE: The site includes ads.

Plants to Human: "Hands Off, Buster!"
Find out the dangers of squeezing a plant.

eThemes Resource: Plants: Species and Parts
Information on different species of plants as well as their parts and functions.

eThemes Resource: Seasons: Autumn: Changing Leaves
These websites include information about why tree leaves change colors in autumn. The different web pages include explanations for elementary school students up to high school students. There are animations, lesson plans, games, and more.

eThemes Resource: Plants: Carnivorous
Descriptions, images, habitats, and life histories of various carnivorous plant species. Most sites include graphics.

eThemes Resource: Trees
Learn how to identify various species of trees from their leaves. Many sites focus on Missouri trees. Also find out why leaves change color in the fall. Includes a leaf cam, online games, handouts, art activities and other lessons relating to trees.
