| The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
Students in grades six through eight can click on "Cosmic Quest" to get to "Design a Space Station." Students will go through the design of a space station. Students must decide what to include based on different factors such as technology, weight, and the properties of space.

This site contains an extensive library of multimedia features, including podcasts, slideshows, videos, quizzes, and more about a wide range of exploratory missions and planetary research. Use the drop-down menus to search by mission, subject, or file format.
European Space Agency
This site contains information about the space exploration and research being conducted by the countries of the European Union. There is a multimedia gallery with images, videos, and animations. The "Kids" portion of the site contains games, activities, pictures, fun facts, and an animated timeline of European space science.
NASA: Exploring the Planets
Find out about the tools of exploration, from Earth-based telescopes to robotic rovers. There is also information about all of the known planets in our solar system, comets, and the Voyager mission to the outer planets.

Here is detailed information about all of the known planets in our solar system, missions into space, spacecrafts, and technology. Includes pictures, videos, and interactive features. The kids section of the site contains games, fast facts, and activities.
Apollo to the Moon
This online exhibit contains many archival photos and primary source documents from the "space race," from the first satellite probes to the Apollo missions to the moon.
The Kepler Mission
This mission, scheduled to launch in 2007, is to find other planets in our galaxy that are similar to Earth. This site contains facts about the project, multimedia features, educational resources for teachers, and pictures. There is also a biography of Johannes Kepler, the mission's namesake. NOTE: The reading level of much of the text is too advanced for younger students.
Exploring Planets in the Classroom
Here are a number of hands-on activities that can be used in the classroom. Students can explore the properties of meteorites, gravitational forces, rockets, and more. Printer-friendly pages to go with the activites are included.

Read about this 14-year mission to Jupiter. This site has many interactive features to explore.
