Student workstation for grades K-2

Must be installed and fully functional by no earlier than Dec. 1, 2008, and no later than Feb. 1, 2009.

Schools or districts implementing the eMINTS instructional model school-wide may choose to equip K-2 classrooms with several computers for student use in eMINTS4All classrooms. It is not recommended that the full suite of eMINTS hardware and software be installed in K-2 classrooms.

Schools or districts may install either full-sized computers and monitors as described below for K-2 classrooms or they may install several laptops for student use that meet the specifications described below.

Screen size for K-2 student laptops should be at least 15 inches.

K-2 teacher computers should have software used by students installed so it can be demonstrated with the SMART Board (kidspiration, Tool Factory Workshop, Scholastic Keys/Canvastic).

Anything above minimum in hardware is acceptable (for example, upgraded memory, graphics card or sound card).
