Teacher workstation

Must be installed and fully functional by Oct. 15, 2007.

It is highly recommended that schools implementing official eMINTS classrooms purchase laptops with docking stations in lieu of laptops and stand-alone teacher workstations to save costs.

Things to consider

  • Wireless keyboard and mouse for teacher machine are allowed.
  • DVD burner is allowed.
  • If an organization chooses, it may use a docking station with the laptop or Tablet PC so the teacher works from a single computer. In this configuration, a back up PC must be available that can connect to the interactive whiteboard. The back-up PC must meet student PC or student laptop specifications.
