Missouri faces a critical shortage of qualified workers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematical (STEM) fields. This summit will focus attention on ways we can improve our STEM talent development pipeline. Emphasis during the summit will be placed on discussions surrounding high-impact educational programming, public/private partnerships and systemic change to enhance our K-12 and higher education platforms.

Registration for fall 2013 eLearning for Educators online courses is open through October 4, 2013.
All course activities are online. Most eLearning courses run 7 weeks including an initial orientation week. Each week participants participate in an online discussion and complete course assignments.

The eMINTS National Center’s annual conference 2014 planning committee invites the submission of proposals for 1-hour and 2-hour presentations at the 14th annual conference to be held in Columbia, MO, February 26 –28, 2014.
Proposal deadline extended to November 1, 2013.

Registration is open for the 8-day eMINTS-delivered Cognitive Coaching seminar for 2013-2014. The four 2-days sessions will be held in Belton, MO.
The Cognitive Coaching Seminar® is an eight-day professional development opportunity for instructional coaches, administrators, teachers, mentors, professors, supervisors, eMINTS PD4ETS program participants, certified Educational Technology Specialists and anyone who wants to encourage self-directedness of others.
The outcomes of Cognitive Coaching support the goals set in Model Teacher and Leader Standards and will assist teachers with continuously developing their knowledge and skills to become professional leaders.

The annual eMINTS conference was held last week in Columbia, MO. Despite the challenges of the winter weather, we had approximately 350 people attend during the two-day event. We enjoyed outstanding keynotes by Ken Shelton and Howie DiBlasi, and were once again fortunate to have many talented educators in the eMINTS community present energizing and inspiring sessions.
Not only did we have many of our Missouri folks attend, but we were delighted to have some of our good friends from Alabama and Utah participate as well. Links to session resources are …
