Webspace, next steps July 2006

Website size limited to 5 MB

eMINTS National Center provides webspace for participants in selected eMINTS professional development programs under certain terms and conditions. Participants in eMINTS professional development programs are strongly encouraged to use webspace available from their own district or educational organization.

What does this mean?

As of August 1, 2006, accounts using excessive amounts of space on eMINTS servers will be frozen. The account holder will not be able to upload, download or change existing website files. Account holders should contact support@emints.org or (573) 884-7202 to find out how to unlock their account for future use.

E-mail accounts not provided

E-mail accounts and storage are not available through the eMINTS National Center. Any e-mail associated with an @teachers.emints.org account left on the server for 90 days will be deleted automatically and cannot be retrieved.

What does this mean?

Beginning September 1, 2006, any e-mail messages that are older than 30 days stored on eMINTS servers will be deleted automatically.

Inactive accounts

eMINTS reserves the right to terminate inactive accounts if users fail to update their website for a period of six months.

  • eMINTS reserves the right to terminate any account if the user fails to log in to his/her account to update website files for a period of six months. eMINTS will attempt to contact participants about their accounts but reserves the right to deactivate any account and delete contents without further notice after six months of inactivity.
  • Webspace will be provided to eMINTS Comprehensive PD participants for the duration of their placement in an official eMINTS classroom. Participants who transfer to non-eMINTS classrooms will be given a maximum of 90 days to move their web content. After 90 days, eMINTS will attempt to contact participants about their accounts but reserves the right to deactivate any account and delete contents without further notice after 90 days.
  • Individuals who are placed in official eMINTS classrooms but who have not completed or are not currently enrolled in eMINTS Comprehensive Professional Development may not use the account of a previous eMINTS teacher. An account may be created for the individual upon enrollment in eMINTS Comprehensive Professional Development.
What does this mean?
  1. As of August 1, 2006, accounts that have had no files updated in their website directory for the past 6 months (no new or revised files during spring and summer 2006) will be frozen. Account holders should contact support@emints.org or (573) 884-7202 to find out how to unlock their account for future use.

  3. Only eligible eMINTS professional development program participants, currently teaching in an official eMINTS classroom or participating in eMINTS PD program, are entitled to use eMINTS-provided webspace. All other content will be deleted.
