Texas - FY07

Irving Independent School District called on eMINTS National Center staff to supplement their professional development program with eMINTS modules about Questioning and Inquiry-Based Lessons.

In spring 2006 two eMINTS staff members worked with Irving, TX, instructional and technology coaches to help them understand cognitive coaching. The Texas coaches will be working with Irving teachers to help them integrate technology into their classrooms in ways that transform lessons.

eMINTS staff returned to Texas in summer 2006 and 2007 to provide the same customized eMINTS professional development to another group of Irving educators. These eMINTS staff members followed up with the Irving coaches throughout the 2006-2007 school year with monthly e-conferencing sessions on topics related to coaching and mentoring teachers.
