Districts that are participating in the “Validating eMINTS (i3) Project” will complete online assessments of 21st Century Skills (technology usage, problem-solving, etc) developed by learning.com with students who are currently in grades 6, 7 and 8 in spring 2012.
In spring 2011 district Data POCs attended a webinar and came to Columbia to upload student files. This year a webinar will be held as a “refresher” but Data POCs will upload files at the district. Assistance will be available by telephone if needed.

Cathie Loesing, eMINTS Program Coordinator, will be among the panelists presenting information about how to “flip” your classroom. The FREE webinar is sponsored by the National Repository of Online Courses (NROC). “Flipping” the classroom means using valuable class time for discussion, teamwork and 1-on-1 help, with students viewing online lectures and other preparatory or introductory materials at home at their own pace.
